To use Acorn to find books on specific passages in the Bible, you'll want to do subject searches that follow this basic pattern: bible [testament] [name of biblical book].
Let's say you're looking for books on Mark 16:9-20:
Browse through this list of results (subject headings) by selecting the "Forward" link above the results to get to relevant headings like Bible. N.T. Mark XVI, 9-20--Criticism, interpretation, etc.. Click on the link to see what books are categorized under that subject.
Note: Since this list of subject headings is in alphabetical order, and the chapters of books are represented by Roman numerals, book chapters do not appear in numerical order. Thus, chapters that start with X's and V's appear at the end of the list.
If you wish, you can do a slightly different initial search: bible n.t. mark xvi. This will get you closer to what you're looking for.
Remember, though, that relevant information may be in books with broader subject headings. The browse list allows you to see your passage in context and select other subject headings that may be useful for your work (e.g., in the case of Mark 16:9-20, the subject heading Bible. N.T. Mark XIV-XVI--Criticism, interpretation, etc. may also be helpful).
Remember, also, that some passages are also identified by titles. If, for example, you were doing research on Luke 10:25-37, you would know that it's also called the Parable of the Good Samaritan. So to find books on Luke 10:25-37, do the following:
