Searching in ACORN for Bible Versions

The following set of guidelines has been created to help you in locating various versions of the Bible in the ACORN catalog.

The basic procedure is to use "TITLE begins with" and start with "Bible", then the language, and then the version.

So, for example, in searching for the Revised English Version of the Bible, you would want to search under "TITLE begins with" using the search terms (in this order): "Bible English Revised English".

If you had tried this search string using "TITLE keyword" your results would have included the Revised Standard Version and the New Revised Standard Version, as well as the Revised English Version. Using "TITLE begins with" helps to avoid getting too many results that you don't want.
